Política de privacidad

Last updated: October 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ardeneclothing.ca (“we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit www.ardeneclothing.ca, shop with us, use an account or contact our team. It also explains how to ask questions and exercise your privacy rights.

For privacy enquiries, contact [email protected] and use “Privacy Request” in the subject line.

1. Personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you use our services:

We receive information directly from you, through the operation of the website, and from payment or delivery providers when they report the status of a transaction or shipment. Please provide only information relevant to your request. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, card security codes or banking verification codes by email.

2. How we use personal information

We use relevant information to:

Information necessary to complete an order or provide a requested service is used for that purpose. If you choose not to provide required details, we may be unable to complete the purchase or service.

3. Consent and your choices

We seek consent where required by applicable privacy law. The form of consent depends on the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances in which it is collected. Providing delivery details to place an order allows us to use those details to fulfil that order; it does not automatically sign you up for promotional messages.

You may contact us to withdraw consent to uses that depend on consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. We will explain any effect this has on the services we can provide. Withdrawal does not require us to erase records that must be retained by law.

If you subscribe to promotional messages, you can unsubscribe using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop necessary communications about an existing order, account or safety issue.

4. Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage to support shopping-bag and sign-in sessions, security and saved preferences, including country and currency selections. Some information lasts only for a browsing session; other preferences remain until they expire or you remove them.

You can manage or delete cookies and website storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the shopping bag, account or checkout from working correctly. Browser storage settings do not delete information already held in your account or order records.

If optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced, we will explain their purposes and provide the choices required by applicable law. This policy does not treat continued browsing as consent to unrelated optional uses of your information.

5. When information is shared

Personal information may be shared where necessary for the following purposes:

Information shared with providers acting on our behalf is limited to the relevant service. They are expected to protect it and use it for the authorised purpose. We remain responsible for personal information under our control, including when a service provider processes it for us.

6. Reviews and external services

If you submit a review, your display name, rating and review may be published with the product. Do not include private contact details or information about another person that you do not have permission to share.

Where a profile image is displayed through Gravatar, a hash of your email address may be sent to that service to retrieve the image. A hash is not necessarily anonymous. Gravatar’s practices are described in Automattic’s Privacy Policy.

Links to external websites and payment-provider pages are governed by those providers’ privacy notices. Review the relevant notice before providing information directly to another service.

7. Processing outside Canada

Our website infrastructure and service providers may process or store personal information outside your province or outside Canada. Information held in another country may be subject to that country’s laws and lawful access by its courts or authorities.

We are responsible for using appropriate contractual or other safeguards for information processed on our behalf. You can contact us for information about the service arrangements relevant to your personal information.

8. Keeping and protecting information

Retention depends on the purpose of the record. Order and payment records may need to remain available for delivery, returns, disputes, accounting and legal obligations. Account information supports your account while it remains in use. Support records are kept as needed to resolve enquiries and related issues; technical and security records support troubleshooting and investigations.

You may request deletion or account closure. We will review what can be removed and explain any records that must be kept, and why. Records subject to an unresolved dispute or legal retention requirement may need to remain after an account is closed.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and the way it is processed. HTTPS protects information in transit to our website, and access to administrative functions is restricted. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Keep your login credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account use.

9. Access, correction and privacy requests

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, how it has been used or shared, and request access to it. You may also request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, withdraw consent where applicable, or request deletion of information that is no longer required.

Email [email protected] with a clear description of your request. Include the email address associated with your account or order, if relevant. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing or changing personal information. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are necessary and how to provide them securely.

We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Where Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law applies, an access request is generally answered within 30 days, subject to lawful extensions. If access or deletion is limited by a legal exception, we will explain the restriction where permitted.

10. Children and young people

Purchases and account activity should be carried out by a person able to provide valid consent, with a parent or guardian’s involvement where required. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children who cannot provide meaningful consent without the required parental or guardian authorisation. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent so we can review and address it.

11. Questions and complaints

The operator of this website is ardeneclothing.ca. Please direct questions about this policy, privacy requests or complaints to [email protected]. We will review your concern and respond.

If your concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the privacy regulator responsible for your province, as applicable. Nothing in this policy limits rights available under applicable privacy law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services or information-handling practices. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Where a change requires notice or additional consent, we will provide that notice or obtain consent before applying the change.
